Everyday at midnight another day in the calendar passes.

I’ve selected ice cube trays to represent the calendar.

The ice cube tray I used was 7×2. Add three trays side by side and you have a 6 week calendar.

I started with the dimension of my hanging calendar 26″x13″ as the overall size for the drawing. It then became dyptic because of the representational (positive)  days spent and the (negative) days ahead.

The blue wash is a chemical formula used in printmaking known as a cyanotype.

The cyanotype is sensitive to light and exposes a bright blue.

Because the calendar comes from the sun, I see this as the ideal medium to represent time passing.
